I bought this last week at Best Buy ($64.95 + Fl Tax). Which was about the same price I'd have paid through Amazon. I read complaints regarding the other Sony iPhone clock (looks the same but also has a CD player)saying the display was way too bright despite 2 or 3 brightness settings. This clock's lowest setting is perfect for me, dim enough to not be disturbing, but certainly bright enough to see at night. The numbers are also nice and large so there's no problem seeing them without my glasses......

This is a great clock! It charges my iPhone with no problems and despite the small single speaker, has a surprisingly good sound. Not audiophile quality, but certainly not tinny. Pleasant listening. Radio works great too.

I am VERY nearsighted, but the display is large enough for me to see on my nightstand. It's been difficult to find a clock with a large display that also was not too bright. The display supports three different brightness levels, so it's not too bright at night. ......

I wanted to add a quick note about this clock radio because most of the other reviews for clock radios don't address the issue that was the most important to me- the strength of the antenna. I was looking for an alarm clock that would get better reception in our bedroom than the one we presently own. The video quality is not that good since it keeps showing a line in middle of picture but from a distance you can hardly notice, I use it mostly for listening to music through my stereo.

So I plug in everything as it should be plugged in ... and I get sound. No video. That rather defeats the purpose of the cable, in my opinion. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

For the money it is fun but not great. There is another model, according to manufaturer that will work with the new iPhone but this model only works with an older iPod and I am not sure if it will work with the iPod Touch.

I got mine from Toys R Us,just this past Sat.
The only thing it played was the instruments in the background,the singing you couldn't hear for anything.
I did everything the instruction manual said to do,if you have a problem.
It should be noted that I have an ipod nano 4th generation.
I was wondering if this thing even works with my player.

We tried it with my DW Sony Walkman and it played fine.
Tried her SkullCandy mp3 player,it played that fine as well.

First off, I live in Sacramento, CA. So it's not the sunniest location, but still pretty dang sunny.

I purchased the Solaris i6 with the intention to be able to charge any of the following: Ipod Video, Ipod Shuffle, Treo Smartphone, Garmin GPS, Bluetooth headset, & AA or AAA batteries. Usage would be mainly around the house, but I am an outdoor enthusiast that would disappear into backcountry whenever possible taking my trusty Ipod as my only real tie to civilization. I really thought that this was exactly what I have been looking for...but it is not. If you are looking for a solar energy source for charging your iPod or newer cellular phone, look somewhere else. I own several Brunton products, and I've never had a problem with them before. Even though the specifications listed claim to be able to charge an iPod, it actually takes TWO or even THREE of these very expensive panels linked together to charge an iPod touch or iPhone. It took two Brunton i6 pan......

I use this to charge my iPhone. It works. It won't charge the battery while the phone is on but it seems maintain the level. I don't see this as an issue because I use this where there is no cell service, and no power - I'm just using the phone as an iPod at this point. The sun is bright where I am in the west.
